New Products Line - Foldable, Portable Purse Hooks!

by Jennifer Tang of MaJenta Designs

TIRED of going to a restaurant or bar and having your purse taking up half your seat? or risk being knocked off the back of your chair? or worse yet - sitting on the dirty floor?! Then you'll really love my new product line of Foldable, Portable Purse Hooks!

I was so excited to put these to use when I went for a night out on the town, and I can attest that they really do wonders! After a long day at work, my friends wanted to hit up a bar, but the only table left was a tall standing table. Well, its never fun to be standing around, with your stuffy coat on, and heavy purse wedged into your arm pit and weighing down your shoulder.

Then I realized that I had a handy dandy "Foldable, Portable Purse hook" inside my purse, and viola! I was able to hang my very heavy purse (with a heavy academic textbook inside) AS WELL AS my coat too!

I'm so excited to have these products available at MaJenta Designs Etsy shop as well as soon to be available at my upcoming shows! These convenient little hangers will make their debut at the:

Boston Handmade show at the SOWA Outdoor Market

Latest Line of Chiyogami Products! - Mirrors & Keychain Bottle Openers!

by Jennifer Tang of MaJenta Designs

I just love creating with the gorgeous Japanese chiyogami papers! I love the intricate patterns and the way they reflect light and the beautiful array of colors they come in! My pendants and magnets have been hugely popular, but this time I wanted to expand my line of chiyogami products to accessories that make great practical gifts for daily use!

First off, I have these great keychain bottle openers! They are beautiful and fun and are great for those who need to organize their keys in style! It also serves a second purpose with its built in bottle opener back, which is great for those who want the practical aspect of a bottle opener keychain without appearing like a lush!

I also now offer great pocket mirrors as well! These are equally as stunning and vibrant! The mirror fits perfectly in your pocket, but also comes with a classy black velvet pouch, so you can keep the mirror in your purse as well without it getting dirty!

You can find either of these, as well as any of my other chiyogami products and Asian-inspired gifts in my MaJenta Designs online shop!

Here is my latest jewelry additions, cute surgical stainless steel earring studs, perfect for children and sensitive ears! Click on the photo above to see their listings on how you can purchase them. They are listed in my Etsy shop under the "Earrings" section.

I was inspired to make them when I was just browsing the "promotions" section, and decided to do my first "buy and replace" game. So I bought some of these adorable buttons, and decided to turn them into affordable (only $3.50!), cute earrings! I then went crazy and bought up lots of cute earrings. I bought ladybugs, daisies, strawberries, squirrels, even yellow submarine buttons! I'll slowly but surely add these onto my site too! "Lovers' Embrace" Card

This Photo card was featured in the Etsygreetings Blog!

Location: This was taken inside the Louvre Museum in Paris, France. This is one of my favorite statues, its of “Psyche & Cupid”, the legendary tale of how Psyche’s beauty was drawing more attention than the Goddess Venus, so Venus sets out to punish Psyche. Venus orders her son, Cupid, to make Psyche fall in love with the ugliest man on earth. However, Cupid ends up falling in love with Psyche, which then causes lots of drama and almost losing each other…but in the end, they end up finding each other again, giving a message that love will always triumph in the end.

This photo has Sepia tones and a special soft glow effect so that the focus is just on the two lover’s embrace. This card is great for Valentines Day for anybody who loves fine art, photography, travel, or a great love story (or anybody looking for a card that isnt pink, red, or with hearts).

FOR SALE: This card can be purchased in my Etsy shop here http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=9116842

But be sure to peruse the rest of my shop, as I sell jewelry, accessories, as well as other photographic prints. http://www.majentadesigns.etsy.com

New Line of Chinese-Inspired Jewelry

This weekend I started a new line of products that are all Chinese inspired jewelry, just in time before the Chinese / Lunar New Year! These beautiful and one-of-a-kind / unique pieces were all made using lucky Chinese “hong bao” (red envelope) These beautiful pendant is classic and vibrant, perfect for matching any occasion or outfit - wear it with your favorite cocktail dress or with a casual shirt and jeans!

*** Dont forget that ALL my items are 20% off until tomorrow January 15th, EST! So check out the rest of my shop too! http://www.majentadesigns.etsy.com

CHINESE BLESSING NECKLACES: Each of these have a Chinese blessing, so wear it for good luck and good fortune! Your choice of pendant, each with its own unique Chinese blessing in black script against a red background. This pendant is made from a lucky Chinese “hong bao” (i.e., red envelope), which is used during the Chinese / Lunar New Year to spread good fortune and wishes for an auspicious new year! For more info, check out its Etsy listing.

***This item was featured in an Etsy Treasury of some of the top sellers in New England, check it out here! ***

CHOICES:
1. Longevity (i.e., long life)
2. Good Fortune
3. Good Health
4. Peace

LOTUS FLOWER NECKLACE: This piece is one-of-a-kind. This pendant is of a purple lotus flower on a green lily pad outlined with shimmery gold leaf. The design of the paper makes the images really 3D, in addition to the glass, it really gives the image great depth and dimension. This pendant is ONE OF A KIND, NOT TO BE DUPLICATED! To buy this item, check out its Etsy listing.

SYMBOLISM: Not only is this a beautiful design, but this paper is from a Chinese New Year greeting card, because of the symbolism of the lotus flower. There are many meanings for the lotus flower, one being the harmony and love between husband and wife, continuity of luck, wealth, promotions and children. The symbolism is also tied to just the struggle and beauty of life, as the lotus flower grows up from the mud into a object of great beauty, so is the desire that people also grow and change into something more beautiful. So the symbol represent the struggle of life at its most basic form.

GOLDEN FLOWER ON RED NECKLACE
: This is another beautiful pendant made out of “hong bao”. I only have two of these, so snatch them up quickly before they are gone!
